Advantage was founded by Kim Echert based upon her 15 years experience working
with large internal medicine residency programs in Chicago. She was the program administrator for three
training programs with an annual enrollment of 80 residents. Each year, she managed the residency recruitment
process which involved screening thousands of applications, and coordinating hundreds of
personal interviews, resulting in the hire of 33 new trainees. Additionally,
Kim was responsible for obtaining and maintaining visa sponsorship and medical licensure
for the programs’ many residents. Because
of the diversity of challenges to which she has been exposed, she has gained expertise in
working with ECFMG, USMLE, INS, ACGME, NRMP, ERAS, the different state licensing bodies,
and international medical colleges and agencies. Kim
has personally assisted hundreds of international medical graduates from all parts of the
world over the course of her career.
